Mr G: Mus- Know all men by these presents that I George champs Re ceivers Bond Muschamp of St Maryes County Esqr Thoms for Pocomoke Tench of Ann Arrundell County Esqr and Phillip District Clarke of St Maryes County Gent, do owe and
stand indebted unto our Sovereigne Lord King William the third &ca in the full & just sum of five hundred pounds Sterling money of England. The wch paymt well and truly to be made to our Sovereigne Lord the King his heires & Successrs we bind our selves & each of us our & every of our heires Execurs & admrs joyntly & severally firmly by these presents, As witness our hands & Seales this 12th day of Octobr in the ninth year of his said Majtes Reigne &ca Annoq Dornini: 1697: The Condicon of the above obligacon is such that whereas the above bound Geo: Muschamp Esqr hath this day by his application & motion in Councill signifyed unto his Exncy Frans Nicholson Esqr Cap' Generll and Governr in chief of his Majtes said Province of Maryland, that his Majty having as yet appointed no receiver for the district of Pocomoke he is willing to take upon him that charge and care, by reason it was joyned to that of Pocomoke district, in the time of the late Collonll Nehemha Blakiston whereof he the sd Muschamp is by his Majestyes Comission actually constituted receiver & fforasmuch as an order of his Exncy & Councill hath accord ingly passed the day & year above written appointing the said George Muschamp Esqr Receiver of his Majtes Revenue of Pocomoke district aforesd in as full & ample power as by his Comission & instructions for Pocomoke district he is authorized & impowered, Recourse whereunto being had may more fully & at large appear. Now if the said Geo: Muschamp shall & doe in all things well & faithfully discharge & pform tht trust by the said ord' reposed in him as also produce & render before his Exncy in Councill a true & perfect acc° (twice every Year) of all Sum & Sums of money or tobo as shall by him be collected for the use of his Majty within the district or precinct aforesaid from time to time accordingly make oath to the same dureing his acting in that station then this present obligation to be void & of none Effect, otherwise to Stand & remain in full force power & virtue.
