answer sent to the said Letter, wth caution to summons the Lib. H. D. Complainants to appear at that County Court house &ca Order being sent to the field Officers & Rangers of that County to strengthen the ffrontiers thereof Then read a return of the Comissrs of that County Court, as also another of the ffield Officers there; signifying their having recd an account by the Honoble Sr Thomas Laurence of the complaints contain'd in Mr Boothbyes Letter, but that they knew of no such complaints nor disturbances. After wards was read an Order for discharging the men raised for strengthening those ffrontiers. Ordered that an answer be writt to the sd Comissrs & field Officers of that County to signify that this Board do approve off & are well satisfyed in their Said returne. The Honoble Collo Iohn: Addison came & was added, who being acquainted that all his Letters and papers concerning the Indians had been read; he is asked if he had any further account to give about them, who says he has no further account to give. Whereupon the following summons was by Ordr issued for consulting the best methods to be taken in this affair. Vizt

Ordered that the Sherriff of Ann Arrundell County do upon sight hereof give notice to & suinons the Honoured the Justices of the Provincial Court, the Comittee for laying the Publick leavy the Grand Inquest for the body of this Province & Major Smallwood, Major Barton & the other persons that went upon the Indian treaty & Mr Richard Cloud for to meet his Exncy & Councill at the State house tomorrow morning early, together with his Majtys Counsell at Law in Order to consult about Indian affairs; and that care be taken (during tht time) no persons besides be Suffered to come near the sd house. Read a Petition of Mr John Jones of Caecill County setting p. 560 forth that whereas he had given Bond to the Navall officer of that County for payment of the Tenn p Cent duty for a parcell of household goods & wearing apparrell belonging to the said Iones, which he was carrying to Pensylvania, upon removall of himself & family thither, being valued at 137 lb: 10s: ood: Steril wch he humbly conceives do not come within
