    Latitude And that one halfe thereof lying towards the Bay of Lib. H. P.

    Dellaware and the Easterne Sea be adjudged to belong to his

    Maty and that the other halfe remaine to the Lord Baltemore

   as    Comprized within his Charter.

     His Maty well Approveing of the sd Reporte It was there

    upon Ordered by his Maty in Councill That the said Land be

    forthwith Divided Accordingly whereof the sd Ld Baltemore

    and William Penn together with theire respective Officers

    and all others whom it may Concerne are to take Notice and

    give due and ready Obedience thereunto.

     The Lords Comissioners of Trade and Plantations haveing

    Intimated to me theire Directions to Coll: Nicholson to run

    the Line between the Province under his Governmt and ours

    and theire desire that I would write to thee to Comply there

    with. This is to lett thee know That I would have thee be

    ready the first Convenient Season to pursue the Lords Comis

    sioners directions therein for prventing of Misunderstandings

    which I prsume is theire end in giveing them and Will be

    theire Endeavours in all other matters The Lords have

    grounded theire Comànds to Govr Nicholson upon the Order

    of the King in Councill past in 1685 The Originall I believe

    is with thee or an Exemplification of it. I am

    Sr

     We have late received the Duplicate of a Lre from the

    Councill and Assembly of Maryland to the Lords of the late

    Committee for Trade and Plantations Dated the 6th of July

    1696 as also the Duplicate of your own Lre of the 14th of

    the Same month to theire Lordships And further. Your Lres

    of the 13th and 27th March Last to our Selves together with

    all the papers therein mentioned to be Sent.

     By the Last of your Said Lres Acknowledgeing the receipt

    onely of ours of the 25th Sept 1696 we observe that our Lre

    of the 1st Febry Last was not then Come to your hands, But

    however it haveing been sent (originall and Duplicate) by p. 228
