                   ceiver of Petuxant District write to Capt Pagan

                  gen tht the that the Arms which for the ffuture he send in,

                  Arms he sends in be sanguin'd be Sanguin'd to keep them from Rust and to

                  &c Signifye to him, that those he sent in last year are

                  dispersed about the Countrey and tryed but are found to

                  prove very bad, both Carbines and pistolls and that he send

                  for the Rest of the fflints that ifell short in last years accot

          

           

          

                           June the 9th 1697.

                  Mr Vangazelo Vpon Complaint made by Mr Jacob Vangazelo

                   how that Richard Lewis one of the Carpinters by

                  & Ordr thereon him imployed abt the State House worke has

                  made great neglect of his time and is usually drunck every

                  day by which means the sd Work is greatly retarded and the

                  sd Vangazelo put to great Expence and Charge in maintain

                  ing him here, and little or no work done.

               p.    512 Ordered that if in Case the sd Lewis do not for the ffuture

                  mind his work and Observe and follow the directions of the

                  sd W Vangazelo, his imployer the Sherriff off Ann Arrundell

                  County do (upon Sight hereof) commit him to the Prison

                  Dungeon there to Remain and be kept untill he shall better

                  behave himself and make due Complyance in following his

                  Work; and that the Gate keeper make inquiry what Ordinary

                  keepers Encourage the sd Lewis to mispend his time by

                  Creditting him beyond the Limits of a certain Ordinance of

                  Assembly of this Province.

          

                  Coll Hutchins Vpon Complaint of the Honrble Coll: Charles

                  Motion & Ordr     .

                  for     putting Hutchins how that Mr Camell Sherriff of Dor-

                    Cambells chester County would not pay what publick Tobo

          

                 Suit     was Assigned to him in his hands—Ordered that

                          leave be given to the sd Coll: Hutchins to put the

                  sd Mr Camells Sherriff Bond in Suit, whereby he may be

                  Enabled to Recover his Right.
