    Warrt to Geo:   You are pursuant to his Mats Royall Instruc

     Plater Esq to  .

     pay his Excy tions to me bearing date at Whitehall the 8th day

     996 ll: 06s :4 1/2d of March 1694/5 Vizt

    

    

       Whereas by an Act passed in the Assembly of Maryland

     the 30th day of March 1679: An Impost of two shillings p hhd:

     is laid upon all Tobo Exported out of our sd Province one

     moyety of which Impost is by the sd Act Appropriated for the

     Use & Support of the Governmt Our will and pleasure is that

     towards the maintenance of the Governmt of our sd Province

     you take to yor own Vse three ffourth parts of the sd Moyety

     of the Impost of 2s p hhd: of Tobo appropriated as aforesd by

     the sd Act, And you are to take especiall Care that according

     to the intentions of the sd Act the Remaining ffourth part of

     the moyety of the sd Impost be duly applyed towards the

     maintenance of a Constant Magazine with Arms and Amu

     nicOn for the Defence of our Province, and by an Ordr of

     Councill to pay unto me the Sume of Nine hundred Ninety

     Six pounds Six shillings and ffour pence half penny Sterl. for

     which this shall be yor Sufficient Warrant Given under my

     hand this 8th day of June in the Ninth year of his Mats Reign

     &ca annoq Domini 1697.
