A Bill for Killing Wolfes read the second Time & will pass
A Bill for Publication of Marriages read the second time &
Rejected
Read Majr Edward Dorseys Petition Praying a remittance
of his fine and Rejected.
Read Mrs Hannah Clarks Petition & put to the Vote if it
shall be granted or not and Carryed in the affirmative
A Bill to Impower the purchasers of the Subscriptions to the
free Schoole to recover the same read the second time & will
pass.
A Bill for appoynting Iudges of Nisi Prius read the second
time and put to the Vote if it shall pass or not Carryed in the
negative
A Bill for assurance of Land in Kent County to Henry
Wallice read the first time

The Honble Iames ffrisby Esqr & Majr Ion Hammond Enter
the house and prsent the Message in relation to passing an
Act for Regulateing Mariages & a Lettr from Mr Richd Sewell
in relation to the Same
Ordrd that the same be referrd to the Comittee of Laws
Proposed by a member of this house whither the three pence p
hhd since his prsent Excy accession to this Gournmt does now
by any Law belong to this prsent Govr if not that a Bill be
prepared to Invest it him
Resolved tht a Bill be prepared to Invest the three pence p
hhd in his prsent Excy Nathaniell Blakistone that has accrewed
since his Excy has taken this Gourenmt upon him

By the house of Delegates Iuly 17th 1699.

This house have received the Message this day sent by the
Honble Iames ffrisby & Majr Ion Hammond & have Consid-
ered the same & Humbly Desire that his Majties Attry Genll
may prepare a Bill thereon and psent the same to the Consid-
eration of this house
Ordrd Mr Walter Smith and Mr Iacob Loockerman Carry
the said Message
The house adjournes till Two of the Clock
Eodem Die The house agaitie Mett & were Called over
Majr Walter Smith & Mr Iacob Loockerman say that they
have deliverd theire Message.
The Honble Thomas Tasker & ffrancis Jenkins Esqrs Enter
the house and bring into the house the Bill for Enabling the
purchasers of the Subscriptions to the ffree schoole to recover
the same wth some Remarks for the amending thereof as allsoe
