A Bill for Amerciam^ts in the Prov^ll & Covnty Co^rts read the
first Time
Ord^rd that these fovr Bills be read againe this afternoone.
The Honble Iames ffrisby and Tho: Tasker Enter the house
and bring in the Bills sent by Coll Thompson and M^r Ashman
w^th some remarks for amendm^t w^ch being amended were sent
back by M^r Ioⁿ Hall & M^r Walter Campbell who returned
and say they have deliverd the same
Read the Petition of Maj^r Tho Smithson Publick Treasurer
on the Eastern praying his Acc^tt might be allowed for Sev^rall
sums of Money w^ch he paid to Coll Hutchins & Sev^rall the
Delegates & officers on the Eastern Shore out of the Publick
Stock.

Whereupon the house resolve them selfs into a Grand
Comittee and appoynt Maj^r Tho Smith Cheirman w^ch Cornit-
tee being Ended and M^r Speaker having reassumed the
Chaire Maj' Thomas Smith made report that the Comittee
had Considerd the Petition & Grantd the Petitioners Request.
The house Adjournes till Two of the Clock

to Issue out a writt of Election to the Sherife of Calvert
County to Elect one Delegate to Serve in the Roome of
M^r James Crauford Lately Deed.

second time and will pass
A Bill for Speedy Conveying of L^rs read the second time
and will pass
A Bill for Staying of Execution after the tenth of April
read the second Time and will pass
A Bill Impowering the Comiss^rs of the County Courts to
raise money to Defray the necessary Charge of the County
read the second Time & will pass
Ord'd that M^r Iohn Hall M^r Tho: Hicks M^r Walter Cambell
and Maj^r Iames Smallwood Carry the said bills to his Ex^cy &
Councill who returne and say they have Delivered the Same
To his Ex^cy the Gov^r the Humble Adress of the house of
Delegates.
