Errors Excepted p me Isaack Miller.
Severall of the said Arms being brought before the Board
and the Gentn haveing well viewed them are of Opinion that
they are very bad and all most useless.
And his Excy the Governor is Desired to send for Twenty
Musquetts with good Strong English fashioned Locks with
Back Ketches, Twenty Carabins of high Calvin boar three
foot 2 Inches long with Belts, Barrs, & Suivills

By his Ex the Governor and Councill in Assembly,

Iuly the 6th 1699.

Herewith is Sent you Mr Isaack Miller's Letter abt Arms
and Amunitio: as likewise the Acct of what has Come in
since his Excys Arrivall here and it is referred to your Con-

sideration to advise and give your opinions how the said Arms
and Amunition should be distributed and disposed of and
whereas there are three hundred and odd qr Barrells of Gun
powder come in this Year which is thought too great a quan-
tity and may be in Danger of being Spoyled and Damnifyed
before it be made use of. Whether it may not be Convenient
that abt 50 Barrells of the said powder should be sold either
for ready Bills of Exch or to be returned in kind.

Then Came Majr Smith and Mr Hicks with a Message from
the house as followeth Vizt

By the house of Delegates Iuly the 6th 1699.

According to a former Message from yor Excy & Councill
this house have Called Majr Edward Dorsey before them and
required of him whether he would Submitt to such fine as this
Genll Assembly shall Impose upon him for his neglect and
definency in not Carrying on and finishing of the Church to
be built in the Town and porte of Annapolis according to the
Contract and Agreemt made with him or whether he would
stand a Suite att Comon Law to be Comenced agt him to
Recover such Damages as the Country has Susteined for
want of the said Church work being Carried on & Compleated
according to his said Contract, whose Answer was possitive
that he would Submitt himselfe to whatsoever fine this Gen-
erall Assembly should Impose upon him for his not Carrying
on Compleating and finishing the sd Church provided he might
