rec^d five hundred p^ds sterl and 150^l sterl was allowed to the
said Col Greenbery out of the Revenue of this province.
That upon Rep^rsentation of the p^rmisses it being Conceived
that the s^d S^r Edmund had no right to the said 500^l did
returne 300^l thereof back again to the use of this province and
his Ex^cy Col Nicholson thereupon Caused the said Col Green-
bery to Enter into Engagem^t to Returne the s^d one hundred
and fifty pounds in Case the s^d paym^t should be not Allowed
by his Maty.
In Tender Consideracon whereof and forasmuch as your
Supplicant in right should have Enjoyed that place of p^rsident
from Gov^r Copleys Death whereby the s^d Sume of 150^l would
have Accrued to yo^r Supplicant in Compensacon of his Exer-
ciseing that trust and that the same is referred by their Ex^cy
the L^ds Iustices of England to yo^r Ex^cy and Councill.
May it please yo^r Ex^cy to Consider the p^rmisses and to Allow
your Supplicant the said Suffle of 150^l in Compensation of
your Supplicants being so unjustly kept out of his said place
and his other great Wrongs & hardships according to the

In obedience to your Ex^cys Order in Councill Dated the 29^th
of Sep^t last that we should Consider of and Reporte to your
Ex^cys our opinion upon the petition of S^r Thomas Laurence
Barr^t thereunto Annexed wherein he Claims a Right to one
hundred and fifty pounds (part of greater Sums raised by the
Assembly of Maryland for Supporte of the Governm^t) now
remaining there indisposed of, we humbly reporte to yo^r Ex-
cellencys.
