This house have considered the Bill Entitled an Act for
promocon of Learning and advancement of his Matys ffree
Schoole of Maryland.
And that whereas the sd Perry died Intestate the Lord Balte-
more as being Lord of the ffees may lay claime thereto there-
fore as to the whole matter abt Mr Perry's Lettry. We humbly
pray your Excy and Councill that it may be omitted untill
address be made for his Ldpp: the Lord proprietarys Concur-
rence therein, but as to the rema part of the act this house is
willing to pass if your Excy and Councill shall thinke fitt.

Put to the vote if the bill regulating Marriage &c shall be
amended or wholly rejected. Carried by the majority of voices
that it be rejected.
By the house of Delegates Novr the 10th 1698.
Whereas his Excy and Councill has been pleased to grant
that Eight hundred pounds Sterl: out of the publick Stock of
this Province shall be applied towards the defraying the pub-
lick charge of this province to be paid at 4d Sterl: at 1000lb
Tobacco.
It is recomended to the Councill whether they will have
their whole allowance in money or shall be appropriated
according to the sevell sumes of Tobo to be paid in the Publick
Leavy and for such of the honble Councill as will be willing to
have all theire allowance in money that they will be pleased
to signifie the same to this house
