Port of Annapolis October 20^th 1698.

Whereas the Gen^l Assembly of this Province was by his
Ex^cy Ffrancis Nichoson Esq^r his Maj^tys Cap^t Gen^l and Gov-
ernour in Chiefe in and over this his Maty^ties Province of Mary-
land and the Territoryes thereunto belonging prorogued untill
this Instant.
There appeared in the house these following Members Viz^t

M^r Iacob Moreland. M^r Iohn Hall
M^r Iames Saunders M^r Thomas Staly
Maj^r Walter Smith M^r William Barton
M^r John Leech M^r William Hutchison
M^r Henry Hawkins Col. Ninian Beal, and
Cap^t Philip Hoskins M^r Thomas Wright.
M^r Benjamin Hall.

Who goe and present themselves to his Ex^cy and his Maj^ties
hon^ble Councill who being admitted was pleased to acquaint
them that for as much as there is not any of the Delegates
from the Eastern Shoar yet come to Towne and that severall
of the members of the Western Shoare are yet wanting that
he does by and with the advise of his Maj^ties hon^ble Councill
further prorogue them untill the 2 2^d Instant, and that they are
thereby prorogued.

Dies Saturnij October 2 2^d 1698.

The hon^ble Iohn Courts and Iames Frisby Esquire Enter the
house and informs them that his Ex^cy requires M^r Speaker and
the whole house to attend on him in Councill.
M^r Speaker and the whole house goe down to the Councill
chamber where being admitted
His Ex^cy was pleased to acquaint them that for as much as
it had pleased God of his great Mercy to bless his Maj^ties
Kingdomes and Dominions with many great and Signall
blessings particularly by crowning his Glorious Endeavours
with an hon^ble and happy peace, the Safe returne of his Maty^tie
to his Kingdomes in Quiett and happy union and Signall
