Colo Davis on the Subject and expect if Capt Davis has not
set off we shall soon see him here. If he is gone to the Back
Country, we request you'll contrive the inclosed to Pittsburg,
unless in Conversation with Colo Davis, there is good Reason
to expect him soon back

Friday 17 September 1779

Present as on yesterday
It appearing to this Board by Sundry Letters now produced
from Owen Biddle Assistant Commissary General of Forage
and amongst them those of the 14 July & the 19 of August
last Directed to Henry Hollingsworth of Cecil County that
he the said Henry Hollingsworth is appointed a Deputy
Assistant Commissary General in this State. The Com-
missary General of Forage being a Branch of the Quarter
Master Generals Department Licence is hereby granted to
the said Henry Hollingsworth according to the Act of
Assembly in such Case lately made and provided to act and
transact in this State as Depy Assistant Commissary General
of Forage aforesaid
The Commission of Henry Wright Junr Assistant Depy
Forage Master General from Henry Hollingsworth of the 10
Day of this Instant Sept. being produced to this Board.
Licence is hereby given to him the said Henry Wright junr
to act as an Assistant Deputy Forage Master Genl in all the
Counties of the Eastern shore of this State except Cecil by
Virtue and according to the Act of Assembly in such Case
made and Provided
The Commission of John Greer to be Assistant Deputy
Quarter Master Gl of the Army of the United States in the
Lower part of Frederick and the Upper Part of Baltimore
Counties dated Is Novr 1778 The Como of Henry Shryock to
be Asst Depy Quarter Master General of the Army of the
United States in Washington County dated 2d June 1778 The
Commo of David Poe Assist Depy Quarter Master Genl of the
Army of the United States in Baltimore County dated the 8th
of April 1778 and the Commo of Thomas Richardson
Assistant Depy Qr Master Genl of the Army of the United
States in Montgomery County dated 1 July 1778 from James
Calhoun Esqr Depy Quarter Master Gen' being produced to
this Board Licence is hereby given to them to Act in the
Counties aforesaid according to the Act of Assembly in such
Case lately made and Provided
