Proportion of Price Guns & Shot sell for at Baltimore, of which
make Enquiry and write us. This shewn to Mr Keeports or
whoever has the Guns & Shot in Possession, is intended as a
Warrant for the Delivery. We are so circumstanced that we
cannot supply any Powder, it is all engaged to the Congress,
or, immediately, any four Pounders, we have only what are on
Board the Gallies & on the Forts, we have already refused to
supply Powder and four Pounders, if we could spare either, we
should prefer the first Applications

Present as on Saturday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut
Edward Wright of the 7th Regimt, two thousand Dollars in
leiw of the Articles for the present year allowed by the late
Act of Assembly
That the said Treasurer pay to his Excellency Thomas
Johnson Esqr two hundred and Eight Pounds, six shillings &
Eight Pence due him for 1 Mo Atta as Governor
The Commission of Charles Beatty from John Cox Assist-
" ant Quarter Master Genl of the 10 April 1778 "Nominating
"& appointing him the said Charles Beatty to Act do and
" Perform all and Singular the Business of Depy Quarter
" Master General with the Privilidge of making Purchases in
" the County of Frederick, of Horses Waggons and such
" other Articles as he may from Time to Time be instructed
" by Quarter Master General, the Assistant Quarter Master
" General or either of them to procure" &ca "being produced to
this Board
Licence is hereby given to him to act in the County afore-
said according to the Act of Assembly in such Case lately
made and provided

In Council Annapolis 13thSeptr 1779
Sir
Colo Chambers called on us the other Day to notify to us
your Appointment of him to purchase for the French Navy
and to be licenced for that Purpose, if we thought a Licence
necessary. Not esteeming any Licence necessary under the
Act, we did not give him any and the same Reason only
occasions our not sending one to you. We will inclose you
