Edward Duvall of the 2d Regimt two thousand Dollars en
leiw of the Articles for the present year allowed &ca
That the said Treasurer pay to his Excellency Thomas
Johnson Esquire two hundred and Eight Pounds, six shillings
& Eight Pence for 1 Mo Allowance as Governor due the 9th
Instant
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Saml Pole one
Pound ten shillings for the use of Philip Greenwall, p Certa
allowed by the Aud. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to E Arthur Harris of the 5
Regt two thousand Dollars en leiw of the Articles for the
present year allowed by the late Act of Assembly. Arthur
Harris of Calvert County in the State of Maryland is ap-
pointed Ensign in the 5th Maryland Regiment of Continental
Troops and it is requested that a Commission may issue to
him accordingly from the Board of War

In Council Annapolis 27th August 1779
Gent
Arthur Harris of Calvert County in the State of Maryland
is hereby appointed an Ensign in the fifth Maryland Regi-
ment of Continental Troops and it is requested that a Com-
mission may issue to him accordingly. If, from any Circum-
stance, it should be more proper to appoint him in any other
Regiment of this State, we are desirous his Commission may
be so made out, without any further Request from us

In Council Annapolis 27th Augt 1779
Sir.
We have no Answer to ours of the 20th Inst desiring you to
furnish us with 10 Barls of fine Flour & 40 with only the Bran
& Shorts taken out, made of good new Wheat, perhaps you
have not received it; but presuming you have some by you, if
not the Whole, we send up the Plater, Henry Hall, for what of
it you can now deliver We are &ca
