we find that you have left your Key and Papers in the Care of
any Body, so that we can have Recourse to it. This goes to you
by Express and we hope you will immediately furnish us with
the Resolution that the Public Business may go on.

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut
Gale 30 pair of Shoes for the Matrosses in Annapolis
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Mr John Duckett
Clerk of the House of Delegates two hundred Pounds p
Advance agreeable to the Resolve of the last Session of the
General Assembly
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Johnson junr Clerk
to the Governor and Council four hundred Pounds per
Advance agreeable to the Resolve of the last Session of the
General Assembly

Daniel Slade of Calvert County who was enlisted in the

Maryland Quota of Continental Troops by John Mitchell, having
been before this Board and appearing to be unfit for the
Service is ordered to return Home and on his returning all
Money and Cloathing which he may have received is ordered
to be totally discharged
Henry Hall is appointed to Command the Plater
Uriah Forrest appointed Auditor General by the General
Assembly in the room of Zephaniah Turner who has resigned
appeared and Qualified in Presence of the Governor and
Council by taking the several Oaths directed in the Resolution
and Subscribing a Declaration of his Belief in the Christian
Religion and giving Bond with Nicholas Maccubbin Junr &
William Hyde Securities for the faithful Performance of his
Duty as Auditor General

Wednesday 25 August 1779

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John
Wilmot junr seventeen Pounds, ten shillings due him for
riding Express to Queen Annes per Account passed by the
Depy Aud
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo Uriah
Forrest Two thousand Dollars in leiw of the Articles for the
present year allowed by the late Act of Assembly
