Arms belonging to Capt Alexander Murray & others of Balti-
more, and also to William Coward Commander of Schooner
Lark, 30 Tons burthen, mounting 4 Swivel Guns 1 Howitz &

We inclose you a Copy of the late Act of Assembly con-
cerning our State Troops; you will see by it, that one Com-
pany of Matrosses out of those at Baltimore & this Place, are
to be sent to Camp We wish to have a very exact Return of
the Company at Baltimore and to see the Officers here as soon
as may be, that we may do this Business as soon & as well as

The Assembly have been pleased to appoint you Auditor
General with a Salary of £3000 pr year We imagine you have
been informed of it in a private way and have formed your
Determination thereon. We should have inclosed you a Copy
of the Resolution of the Assembly by Express, but the Clerk
of the House of Delegates went out of Town on Monday
Morning having first locked up his Papers. The State of the
Public Business makes it desirable an Auditor should be soon
