Friday 18 June 1779

Present as on Yesterday James Brice Esqr Attended
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut
John Bruce Twenty six Pounds five shillings and four pence
due him per Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Jacques Bagness
seventeen Pounds due him per Account passed by the Depy
Aud.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut Isaac
Rawlings one hundred Pounds to bear his Expences in going
after Deserters from the Anns Matrosses to be accounted for
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Nicholson five
hundred Pounds on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Como Thos Grason Five
hundred Pounds on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Dalziel, Fifty two
Pounds ten shillings due him per Account passed by the Depy
Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt John Nicholson Four
hundred and thirty four Pounds, fourteen shillings and nine
pence on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Thomas Walker Forty
one Pounds one shilling due him per pay roll
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Michael Shettley a
9 mo Soldier in the 6th Regimt discharged the amount of Twenty
four Pounds in Cloathing also to Francis Spoutman a 9 mo
Soldier in the 6th Regimt Discharged Twenty four Pounds, ten
shillings in Cloathing due them by an Act of Assembly to
procure Troops for the American Army
That Mr Goldsmith deliver Capt Nicholson 1 Side Leather
for the Conquerer Galley
Commissions issued to William Judah appointed Capt Lieut
of Capt Alexander Furnivall's Compy of Matrosses and also to
Jacques Bagness appointed first Lieut of Capt William
Campbells Compy of Matrosses

In Council Annapolis 18th June 1779
Sir. You are to proceed with the Conqueror and Chester
down the Bav and continue in the Neighbourhood of the
Capes so as to make your Cruise, from your going from hence
'til your Return hither five Weeks as near as may be. If the
Conqueror should prove so leaky that she cannot stay so long,
she may return and we shall endeavour to have the Indepen-
