you mention in yours of yesterday: when that Quantity is pro-
cured we would not have you purchase any more

In Council Annapolis 11th June 1779
Gent.
In Consequence of the Honble Govr Morris's & your Letters,
received by this Day's Post, we have directed Saml Gilpin, Jno
Ward Veazey and Colo Henry Hollingsworth to deliver to the
Issuing Commissary at the Head of Elk, what Flour they have
in there Hands; it is all convenient and we believe, some of it
on its Way to Philadelphia & a small Quantity of it at Philada
sent thither before the Orders to lodge it at Landings on this
Bay. Their Quantities may probably amount to 3000 Barrls
We have also desired Colo Richard Dallam to send to the
Issuing Commissary at the Head of Elk, from 12 to 1500
Barrls of the most convenient of his Flour, to be forwarded to
Philadelphia.

Circular In Council Annapolis 11th June 1779
Sir,
By a Letter recd by this Day's Post from the Honble Govr
Morris, a Part of the Flour purchased in this State is desired
to be delivered to the Order of the Commissary Genl Messrs
Chaloner & White A. C. of p. who inclosed the Letter, desire
it may be sent forward to Philada with all possible Expedition,
or that it might be ordered to the Care of the Commissary of
Issues at Elk or Philada We therefore request that you'll
deliver to the Commissary of Issues residing at Elk, all the
Flour which remains in your Hands of the Purchase of this
State; if any of it is at Philadelphia or on its way thither under
any of our Former Orders, so much the better. We
hope the Commissary at Elk will exert himself to get the Flour
to Philada with all possible Dispatch and we shall be obliged
to you to give him all the Assistance in your Power. If any
Difficulty should arise about the Receipt of the Flour, we wish
it not to be delayed 'til you can hear again from us, but desire
