Monday 7 June 1779

Present as on Saturday except Edward Lloyd
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Serjt
Smoot 10 Coatees 10 pair Overalls, & 10 pr Shoes for the
Recruits of the Ist Maryland Regimt
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Lieut Gale one
hundred and forty four Pounds, thirteen shillings and nine
pence for the use of Sundries p Acct passed by Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to James Freeland, Thirty
seven Pounds ten shillings p Account passed by the Depy
Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Brown, Four Pounds
one shilling and Eight pence, nine Pounds, eleven shillings
and Six Pounds three shillings & nine pence due him per
Accounts passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Colo Uriah Forrest of
the Ist Regimt three thousand Dollars to be expended in the
recruiting Service & Accounted for.

In Council Annapolis 7th June 1779
Sir.
We have ordered by Serjeant Smoot 10 Coatees, 10 p
Overalls & 10 pr Shoes. In yours of the 9th Apl you mention
that you had been obliged to purchase Corn for the Recruits
and had inclosed the Receipt for the same, to the Auditor,
and desired it might be ordered to be paid. We have made
Enquiry at the Auditors Office and Mr Vallette says it never
came there; Mr Smoot does not know the sum, or we would
send it on Account, to be setled when you came up.

Drummer & Fifer of the 5th Regt
That the western shore Treasurer pay to John Chalmers two
thousand Dollars to be expended in the Recruiting Service
That the said Treasurer pay to William Hyde Seventy three
Pounds nine shillings and for Pence for the use of Colo
Josias Carvil Hall per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
