of Flour &ca for the use of the Contl Army & accounted for
It appearing to this Board from the Deposition of Henry
Bateman junr That Robert Miles of the City of Annapolis But-
cher did make use of several expressions inimical to the Cause
of America and that the going at Large of the said Robert
Miles may be Dangerous to this State. It is therefore Ordered
that the Sheriff of Ann Arundel County take the said Robert
Miles and him immediately bring before this Board that he
may be dealt with according to Law
Commission of Letter of Marque & Reprisal issued to
Clement Harrison Commander of the Schooner Laurens Mount-
ing 4 Carriage Guns and 8 small Arms belonging to Stephen
Steward Magruder and Compy
Commission issued to Samuel Turner appointed Register of
Wills for Montgomery County in the room of Thomas Johns
resigned.
Robert Miles being brought before this Board on the War-
rant issued against him this Day is committed to the Custody
of the Sheriff of Ann Arundel County for further Examination
and it is ordered that the said Sheriff summon Henry Bateman
Senr of Ann Arundel County to be and appear before this
Board immediately to Testify against the said Robert Miles
Commission issued to John Deavor appd Capt in the room
of Wm Gailbreath, Henry McBride 1 Lieut, Joseph Gatro 2d
Lieut, Thomas Knot Ens, George Sewall Douglass Capt, in
the room of Willm Richardson, William Forepaugh 1 Lieut,
Andrew Wilson 2d Lieut, Charles Carbine Ensign John Smith
Capt in the room of Elam Bailey, John Lewis 1 Lieut, John
Coale 2d Lieut, Nathaniel Wilson Ens, Caleb Shields 1 Lieut,
John Cannon 2d Lieut, Benjamin Hunt Ens. of Capt. Brit.
Dickinsons Co, Joseph Miller 2d Lieut, John Caldwell Ens.
of Capt. Merryman's Compy belonging to the Baltimore Town

Sir.
We inclose an Order for twelve thousand Pounds to pay for
the Flour you mention in yours of the 17th. Our Treasury
here cannot afford at present, the Advance of such a Sum, so
that we could not send you the Cash by Mr Stevens. You do
