talion of Mila Kent County.
Commission of a Letter of Marque and Reprisal issued to
James Tate Commander of the Sloop Franklin 70 Tons Bur-
then, Monting 10 Carriage Guns, 6 Swivels & 10 Small Arms,
belonging to Daniel Bowley & others Balt0
By Virtue of the Resolution of the General Assembly of the
10th Instant this Board do hereby order that the whole of the
Prize Money arising from any Captures that may be made by
the two Gallies belonging to this State called the Conqueror and
Chester and their Tender called the Dolphin or either of them
in their now designed Expedition or Cruise against the com-
mon Enemy be disposed of and distributed among the Captors
in the same manner & Proportion as the part of such Prizes
which would independent of the said Resolution or this order
have belonged to them been distributable and to have been
divided.
It being represented to this Board that James Gilchrist of
this State who went from hence to London in the Fall of the
year 1775 is now in the City of New York and came thither
with Intent to return to this State and is desirous of returning
into and residing within the same. Therefore Permission is
hereby granted to the said James Gilchrist to come into this
State and the commanding Officer at any Post on the Lines is
requested to give the necessary Pasport for him & his Baggage.
Vide Mr Henry's Lre 9 Inst. Colo Richardson's inclosed
therein sent back again to Mr Henry.
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Joseph
Owens, the amount of Fourteen Pounds five shillings and six
pence in Cloathing, Jessee Allen, Fourteen Pounds, five shillings
& six pence in Cloathing, Thomas Hudson Fourteen Pounds
five shillings & six Pence in Cloathing and Jacob Miller Four-
teen Pounds five shillings & six Pence in Cloathing due them
as Nine Months men in the first Maryland Regiment Discharged
per Act of Assembly to procure Troops for the American
Army.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas
Johnson Junr Forty one Pounds, two shillings & six pence due
