That the said Treasurer pay to James Littel seventeen
Pounds, five shillings per Account passed by the Prinl Cl to the
Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Daniel Carroll Esq. one
hundred and fourteen Pounds for his Attendance in Council

In Council Annapolis 21st Decr 1778.
Sir
We Yesterday received your Letters of the 16th & 19th
Richard Murrow is now dispatched to you with about 45
Bushels of Salt marked R. for Colo Richardson, which we
request you immediately to send to him, to the Mouth of
Tuckahoe Creeck, of which be pleased to send him Notice, and
60 Bushels of Salt for yourself, 40 of which is Country Salt,
more than a year old, for the first salting of the Pork, the rest
Allum Salt for packing. Commodore Grason will go off to-
morrow in one of the Gallies to take in the Staves which he
will deliver to you in a few Days, with the necessary Cask ;
our Vessels being all out and detained longer than we expected
has occasioned the Delay. We are sorry that you made any
conditional Contracts, as by that Means we are subjected to
give the highest Price for the Whole, that we may be compelled
to make out our Quantity, for any, if we get from 30 to 40,000
from you it will do very well. We have been induced from
Circumstances which have occurred since you left us to give
Colo Richardson a Power to give as far as 30 Dollars, but we
are confident, if it can be got for less, he will Act with Discretion
Any Pork that is ready, you may send by Murrow

Goldsmith Fifty Eight Pounds, fourteen Shillings and two
Pence per Account passed by the Principal Cl. to the Aud Genl
& one hundred & fifty Pounds on Acct
Commission issued to Benjamin Rumsay, Benjamin Mackall
4th Thomas Jones, Solomon Wright, and James Murray
Esquires appointed Judges of the Court of Appeals by the
General Assembly.
