the nine Months Men who inlist for three years, or during the
War. It was late before this Resolution and Bill passed, they
having been finished the other Day, but the Resolution
strongly shews the Sense the Assembly have of the Services
of the Officers. We shall send the Money with what Blankets
we have and some other Cloathing to Philadelphia to be lodged
in the Hands of our Delegates there, where we expect you
will send a proper Person to receive it and from whence you
will contrive to remove the Money and Cloathing in Safety.

Saturday 19th December 1778.

Present as on yesterday
Commission issued to William Buchanan, appointed Register
of Wills for Baltimore County by the General Assembly in the
room of Thomas Jones who has resigned
John Woodfield a Private in Capt. Campbells Company of
Matrosses who obtained a Furlough from this Board on the
14th November last for one Month to endeavour to Recover
his Health but he still continues unfit for Service. It is
therefore Ordered that his said Furlough be renewed for one
Month Longer from this Date
Commission issued to Isaac Rawlings appointed third
Lieutenant of Capt. Campbells Compy of Matrosses in the
Service of this State in the room of Benjamin Johns who
resigned
Commissions of Letters of Marque & Reprisal issued to
George Buchanan Commander of the Brigantine Salisbury
mounting 6 Carriage Guns and 3 small Arms 180 Tons
burthen belonging to Archibald and George Buchanan & Co
of Baltimore and also to Jesse Weatherby Commander of the
Schooner Nelly & Polly 80 Tons burthen mounting 6 Swivels
and 8 small Arms, belonging to Hugh and William McBride,
James Houston and William Henry of the State of Maryland

Monday 21 December 1778

Present as on Saturday except T. Sim Lee Esqr
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Comr
Thomas Grason two hundred and sixty three Pounds, two
shillings for the use of and to be delivered over to Adam Gray
for Beef sold the State
That the said Treasurer pay to Commo Thomas Grason
Two thousand Pounds to be delivered over to Francis Baker
