Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William
Nevin Eighty three Pounds, seventeen Shillings for the use of
William Nevin & Co per Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Francis Baker Seventeen
Pounds Eight Shillings and nine pence per Acct passed by the
Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Francis Baker Fifteen hun-
dred Pounds to be expended in the Purchase of Pork for the
use of this State & Aud for
That the said Treasurer pay to Charles Ridgley Forty five
Pounds Fifteen Shillings per Account passed by the Aud
Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Botts who served as a
Substitute for William Moore during the late Invasion of this
State Fifty Pounds as Allowed by a Resolve of the Genl
Assembly

Friday 4th December 1778

Present as on yesterday
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Samuel
Hanson Five Pounds Ten Shillings per Acct passed by the Aud.
Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Cowman Iunr Twenty
six Pounds five shillings per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to George Scott Two hundred
and thirty six Pounds Fifteen Shillings and six pence Balance
of Acct passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Johns Five Pounds
ten shillings amt of Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut Jacques
Bagness Cloth for a Great Coat with Trimings and two
pair Shoes
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to John Read
Ens in the 2d Regiment Cloth for a Coat, Waistcoat &
Breeches with proper Trimings, two Shirts, two pair Shoes
and one pair Stockings
Commissions issued to Valentine Shroad appd Capt. Henry
Beckley 1 Lieut, George Everhart 2d Lieut, George Fisher
Ensign Benjamin Merryman Capt, Anthony Cummins 1 Lieut
Thomas Robey Ensign Thomas Stansbury 1 Lieut, Jacob
Foble 2d Lieut, Henry Bose Ensign of Capt Lemmons Compy
& Richard Hail Ensign of Capt Murrays Compy belonging to
the Upper Battalion of Militia in Baltimore County
Lieut. Benjamin Johns of the Matrosses Resigns his Com-
mission which is accepted in Council
