Buckskin do hereby Promise and engage to return the said
Guns in good Order or in Case of Loss or Damage to pay
such Sum of Money as the same shall be estimated at by
Persons to be appointed by the Governor and Council for that
Purpose or to return nine Pounders equally as good and
substantial as those lent at the Option of the Governor &
Council Witness our Hands this Twenty sixth Day of
November 1778. In behalf of themselves & Lux & Bowley,
Wm Smith, John McLure, Hugh Young, John Sterritt, John
Crocket, David Stewart, Jas Nicholson, Nat. Smith & Archd
Buchanan Owner of the Ship Buckskin
Saml Robt Purviance Agents of
said ship

Signed in Presence of Mattw Scott

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Aquila
Parker Thirty six Pounds and also the further sum of Thirty
six Pounds due him per Accounts passed by the Prinl Cl. to
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Ross Key four Pounds
for the use of John Clanbaugh per Acct passed by the Aud.
Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Reith Eight Pounds
six Shillings and Eight Pence due him the 23d Inst, as Messenr
to Gov. & Council
That the said Treasurer pay to William Bruff six Pounds,
nine shillings for the use of Capt. George Finley, Four
Pounds, six shillings for the use of Lieut. Isaac Scrivener,
Three Pounds, four shillings & Six Pence for the use of Lieut.
John Young Keene and also the further Sum of Three Pounds
four shillings and six pence for the use of Christo Bateman per
Acct passed by the Aud.Genl

Thursday 26th November 1778

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut
Charles Smith of the Ist Regt Cloth sufft for a Great Coat,
Serge Denim for 1 pr Breeches with Trimings and 1 pair of
Shoes
That the western shore Treasurer pay to William Garland
Ninty Pounds, fifteen shillings due him per Acct passed by the
Aud Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Berryman Eighty six
Pounds ten shillings and one Penny due him per Acct passed
by the Aud. Genl
