That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut. Duvall of
the secd Regt Cloth and Trimmings for a Suit of Cloaths and
great Coat & 472 yards Coarse Linen.
That the said Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut. Saml
Sadler of Capt. Furnivals Compy of Matrosses 2 Shirts and 8
yards Cloth with suitable Trimmings.

Thursday 8th October 1778

Present as on yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Elie Val-
lette Twenty five Pounds for one Month's Salary as Principal
Cl. to the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to William Nevin two hundred
and eighty six pounds, one shilling & nine pence for the use
of Nevin & Co per Acct pass'd by the A Gl
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Zephaniah
Turner Esquire one hundred Pounds on Account.
Commissions of Letters of Marque & Reprisals issued to
John Wainwright Master of the Sloop Ranger, burthen 40
Tons mounting 7 Carriage and one Swivel Gun and 11 small
Arms navigated with 15 Men belonging to himself and also to
Joseph Vesey Master of the Sloop Adriana, burthen 60 Tons
mounting 9 Carriage and 6 Swivel Guns & 36 small Arms,
navigated with 47 Men belonging to himself & North & Tres-
cot of South Carolina.
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Lieut.
Gale 18 pair Shoes for Capt. Campbell's Compy of Matrosses.

Friday 9th October 1778.

Present as on yesterday.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas
Graham one hundred and forty two pounds, ten shillings per
Acct passed by the Aud Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Com. Thomas Grason one
thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Stonestreet sixty six
Pounds as Adjnt. to the Militia per Acct passed by the Aud
Genl
Commission of Letter of Marque and Reprisal issued to
Nathaniel Cooper Commander of the Sloop Lady Washington
80 Tons burthen mounting 6 Carriage Guns, navigated by 12
Men belonging to Isaac & Abraham Vanbibber & John
Crockett and John Muir.
