&ca charged in the inclosed Accts would cost, at the present
Prices, about £4000. We doubt not your doing the best you
can for the State, and you will set her up at a higher Price
than what is mentioned, if you see proper and at three Months
Credit, on Security if required.

Present as on Friday. Tho Sim Lee Esqr Attended.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Commo-
dore Grason Twenty eight Pounds, four shillings and five
Pence for the use of Joseph Middleton and the further Sum
of Twenty seven Pounds ten shillings for the use of James
Little per Accts passed by the Prinl Cl. to the A Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Robert Reith, eight Pounds
five shillings and eight Pence for 1 Month Attenda as Mes-
senger to the Governor and Council from the 23d July last
That the said Treasurer Pay to John Wasteneys fifteen hun-
dred Pounds for the use of Step. Steward on Acct

Wednesday 26 August 1778

Present as on Yesterday
Doct. John Troup of this State who hath been absent there-
from in France for about seven months last past, and hath
lately that is to say within three Months now last past returned
into this State appeared before the Council and before them
did take repeat and Subscribe the Oath of Fidelity and Support
to this State Contajned in the Act entitled An Act to Punish
Certain Crimes and Misdemeanors and to prevent the Growth
of Toryism
Ordered that the Commissary of Stores deliver to Colo
Thomas Price 14 yds Brittanies, 5 yds Serge Denim for Waist-
coat & Breeches with Trimmings, 6 yds Strip'd Linen, one
Saddle Cloth and one pair Shoes omitted the 22d Instant

It being represented to this Board that Mr John Robert
Holliday of this State who has given Evidence of his Attach-
ment thereto, has business of consequence and of a private
