deliver the Goods, according to the Custom in Cases of Freight
due, and keep the same in your Hands for the Use of this
State; if the Goods belong to the Continent, advise us of the
Particulars and we shall, we have no Doubt, easily settle the
Freight with Congress.

Present as on Yesterday
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer Pay to Frederick
Bender nine Pounds five Shillings due him per Acct passed by
the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to James Williams sixty Pounds
for House Rent, Three Pounds fifteen shillings for the use of
Jos & James Williams and the further Sum of Twenty seven
Pounds ten shillings due himself per Accts passed by the Aud.
General
That the said Treasurer Pay to Jacob Lusby five Pounds four
shillings and six Pence per Acct passed by the Princl Cl. to
the Aud. Genl
Commission of Letter of Marque and Reprisal issued to
Joseph Dashiell Master of the Sloop Dolphin mounting two
Swivels and 16 Small Arms navigated by 10 Men, Burthen 10
Tons belonging to John Fassett & Co

In Council 6th Augt 1778.
Sir.
We understand there are yet in Dorchester at least 10 or
12 of the Mermaid's Crew, including those who were sick in
Worcester and have since been sent forward. It is much to
be wished that these People should be exchanged as soon as
possible for our own Country Men and to forward it as much
as we can, we request you to send forward to Philadelphia,
any British Sailors or Marines now in your Power under an
adequate Guard We are &ca
