Tuesday 9th June 1778.

Present as on yesterday. T. S. Lee Esqr Attended.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Henry
Jones, one hundred and fifty one Pounds eighteen shillings
per Acct passed by A. G.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt.
Segond of Pulaski's Legion sixty Pounds the allowance on ten
Recruits per Acct passed by the A. G.
That the said Treasurer Pay to Upton Sheredine nine pounds
four shillgs for the use of Andrew Mikesell and four Pounds,
four shillings & six pence for the use of Daniel James as per
Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer Pay to Richard Barnes seventy
six Pounds nine shillings and six pence due him per Acct
passed by the Aud. Genl
This Board being informed that James Marr who is enlisted
into the Service and his Brother who was drafted in Calvert
County (the said James Marr having as it is said obtained a fur-
lough from Sergeant Gordon) have purchased Horses with the
Declared Intention of going to Carolina. It is therefore
ordered that they be apprehended and brought to Annapolis
by any Person who may have an Opportunity of doing it.
Ordered That Capt. Keeports deliver to Capt. Segond of
General Pulaski's Legion as many Camp Kettles as he may
have occasion for allowing six men to a Mess.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Capt. Segond
two Drums.

Circular In Council Annapolis 9th June 1778.
Sir
As the Advances of the Recruiting Money are now pretty
well over, we shall be obliged to you to transmit us an
Account of the Advances you may have made as soon as you
can, distinguishing to whom the Money has been paid, when,
and for what Recruits, that we may have this Account setled
in Time, to prevent any Loss to the Public
To the several Sheriffs. We are Sir &ca
