for the Transportation of Provisions, the first we can com-
mand on that Service, we shall send round to Potowmack,
with Orders to take what you have on that River: What lies
convenient to Patuxent, had best be sent to convenient Land-
ings there but, if you have an Opportunity, we wish you in the
mean Time to hire a Vessel and send forward the Provisions,
inclusive of the Pork from Potowmack, addressed to Colo
Henry Hollingsworth at the Head of Elk. If we should send
a Vessel round at the same Time, there would be no great
Disappointment, as she may carry Fish or other Provisions

Henry Hynes Ensign of Capt. Abraham Haffs Compy also to
Balzer Martz Ens. of Capt. N. Whites Compy in the Frederick
Town Batt of Militia in Fred. County
Ordered, That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Capt
Segond of Genl Pulaski's Legion three hundred and sixty
pounds due him per Acct passed by the AG. and the further
Sum of twenty four Pounds due him for enlisting 4 Recruits
into General Pulaski's Legion passed by Andrew Buchanan.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer Pay to Capt.
Balliry fifteen Pounds per Account passed by the Auditor
General.

In Council 26th May 1778
Sir
This will be delivered to you by Lieut Hanson of the Galley
Independence; she goes to Cambridge for the Tents, Blankets
&ca belonging to the Continent, lodged there and for the
Substitutes and Recruits from Somerset, who are expected to
be there. We shall be obliged to you to deliver the Goods to
Mr Hanson who will transport them to the Head of Elk and
there deliver them to Colo Hollingsworth, to be sent forward.
