    Yates & Mr Wm Hatton Justices & Comissionrs to have & Lib. C. B.

    determine the same as alsoe any other Outrages which have

    or shall be Comitted & done by any Indians in those parts, in

    violation of the Articles of Peace concluded with them, with

    power to punish the same according to the Laws of England

    on this Province, pursueant to the aforementioned Articles of

    Peace; which Comission to Remain & be in force dureing

    p!easure.

   

    Mr Attorney Ordered that Mr. Attorney Generall with all expe

    der'd to in- dition inspect & peruse the late Governors Comis

    spect the sion of Vice Admirall of this Province, and make

   

     Report of the Power & Nature of the said Comission

    sion of Vice to the Honoble the President, to the End if he see it

    Admirall           . .    —.

    &ca in Ordr necessary & requisite a Comission may forthwith be

    to the Tryall Prepared, pursueant to the same for the Tryall of a

   

    taken by certain ship taken at Sea by one Captain Hurle, and

    Capt Hurle by him !ately brought into this Province; And that

           a former Ordr of this Board of the 14th of June instant P. 98

   

    relateing to the same be Null and Void: the 12th day of July

    next being the time appointed for the said Tryall, at Benedict

    Leonard Towne in Calvert County.

    Sifes Eiec- Vpon Representation of some Gentlemen of the

    tion Ordered Councill to the Honoble the President that there is an

    next &ca Apparent and absolute Necessity for the imediate

    appointing & Electing New Sherriffes in complyance to the

    Act of Assembly of this Province; for want of which it being

    alledged that great Complaints are likely to be made &

    Offered from all Parts of the Province—Resolved & Ordered

    therevpon that the Councill meet & sit vpon the day & place

    aforementioned in Order to Elect Sherriffes accordingly.

      Read a Letter sent from the Justices of Calvert County the

    Tenor whereof fo!lowed in these Words, Vizt

   

    Calvert To the Honoble Sr Thomas Laurence Baront Presi

    Justices dent of their Maties Councill of State in Maryland

    Letter together with the Rest of the honoble Members of the

    same Councill.

   

      Wee their Maties Justices of Calvert County in Obedience to

    their Mats Cornission & faithfullness to their service for doeing

    the severall Businesses depending in the said County Court

    are Mett & attending vpon the same But ca!ling to Remem

    brance that the last Comission to Majr Ninian Beale Sheriffe

    of this County expired the last Aprill, And vpon Inquiry
