   Wm   Gilly Ordered that William Gilly, whoe Officiated the Lib. C. B.

     Ordered 100 l tob: the place of Dorekeeper this present Councill, be allowed

  

   next Leavye for his trouble, the Sume of One hundred Pounds of

   Tobo at the next laying of the Leavye.

  

  

  

     At a Councill held at Westwood, at the house of Captain

   John Bayne in St Maries County the 29th day of June in the

   Sixth yeare of the Reign of our Soveraign Lord & Lady Wil

   liam & Mary King & Queen of England &ca Annoq Dni, 1694.

  

                        Present.

  

   The Honble Sr Thomas Laurence Baronet, President.

  

        Coll Nicho Greenberry) Capt John Courts

        Thomas Tench Esqr

        Capt John Addison   Thomas Brooke Esqr

  

   Indians from An Indian called King Peter with five more of

    the Great Men be!onging to the Emperor of Pis

  

   way appeared cattoway appeare here at the Board together with

   &ca with the

   Anacostin Quassapelagh an Indian comonly knowne & Called

   King by the Name of the Anacostin King. The Articles p. 95

  

   of peace are read Unto them.

     They are asked if they wi!l acknowledge those Articles and

   stand by them; whoe doe joyntly make Answer that they are

   ready to stand & abide by the same.

     Then it is demanded that they Give an Account of the per

   son or persons whoe Comitted the late Murther in Charles

   County, being justly suspected to be Indians Under their

   protection, and they make Answer they are ignorant whoe

   are the parties concerned.

  

  The       Positive Demand is made by the Board that

    Anacostin

   King   Quassapelagh an Indian now present, comonly

   demanded knowne and called by the Name of the Anacostin

   surrender'd King be Surrendered vp to Receive a Speedy Tryall

   vp. at Charles County Court house; haveing pregnant

   Circumstances to suspect the said Quassapelagh to be con

   cerned in the aforementioned Murther; whoe after a long

           Consultation about the same had, they Consent to

   Surrender'd deliver vp the said Quassapelagh otherwise called

           the Anacostin King as a prisoner, pursueant to the

   aforementioned Articles of peace.

  

   Mittimus Ordered that his Mittimus be accordingly drawn

           to be kept in the Custody of the Sherriffe of Charles
