    execute & performe all and singular the powers & directions Lib. C. B.

    contained in their Majties Royall Comission & instructions to

    the said Copley, by Vertue whereof he did demand in their

    Majties Names the Governmt of this their Province and desired

    the Opinion of the Board what they have to say thereunto.

   

    Sr Edmond The Comission being Read & duely considered,

    Andros Comission they are of Opinion, and doe respectively and dis

    read tinctly declare, that the same ought to take place, and

    that the Governmt of this Province doth from henceforth di

    volve vpon his Exncie the said Sr Edmond Andros, by Vertue

    of the said Comission, which was Ordered to be Recorded in

    the Journall of this Board, and is as follows, Vizt

    Sr Edmond William & Mary by the Grace of God King &

    Andros his

    Comission Queen of England, Scotland, ffrance & Ireland defen

           ders of the ffaith &ca To our trusty & well beloved Sr

    Edmond Andros Knight our Lievetent & Governor Genll of our p. 2.

    Colony & Dominion of Virginia in America Greeting Whereas

    by our Comission under our Great Scale of England beareing

    Date the 27th day of June in the third yeare of our Reign Wee

    have thought fit to constitute & appoint our Trusty & well

    beloved Lion' Copley Esqr our Capt Genll & Governor in

    Chiefe in & over our Province & Territory of Maryland in

    America: And whereas by our Comission vnder our Signet

    & Signe Manuall Wee have appointed our Trusty & well be

    loved Capt ffrancis Nicholson to be our Lievetent Governr of

    our said Province & Territory, Wee reposeing especiall Trust

    & confidence in your Loyalty, Courage & Circumspection,

    doe by these Presents constitute & appoint you the said Sr

    Edmond Andros, upon the death of the said Capt ffrancis

    Nicholson and in the absence of the said Coll Lionel Copley

    to be Comander in Chiefe in & over our said Province &

    Territory of Maryland, To have, hold, Exercise & Enjoy the

    Office & place of Comander in Chiefe of our said Province

    and Territory of Maryland for and dureing our pleasure, with

    all the Rights, priviledges, profits & advantages to the same

    belonging and appertaining in case of the death of the said

    Capt ffrancis Nicholson and absence of the said Coll Lionel

    Copley as aforesd with full power and authority to execute &

    performe all & singular the powers & directions contained in

    our said Comission to the said Coll Lionel Copley & such

    instructions as Wee have already or shall hereafter from time

    to time send to him, And Wee hereby Comand all & singular

    our Officers, Ministers & loveing subjects of our said Province
