    Ordr for His Exncy the Governr and Councill do Agree Lib. H. D.

    Copy of the    .

    sd Peticön be with the Sense and Opinion of the Justices of the

    sent toEach Provinciall Court and Grand Jury as to the within

   

  County   mention'd premises, and do Ordr thereon as it is

           hereby Ordered that Copy of the same be sent to Whitehall

   

    the Sheriff of Each respective County and prsented to the

    Justices and Grand Jury of the severall County Courts to be

    held in Janry next for their Opinions thereon to be given,

    which afterwards they are to Return unto his Exncy at the Port

    of Annapolis with all possible Speed.

   

   

                 December the 12th 1696.

   

         The Councill again Sate and were prsent,

         His  EXnCY ffrancis Nicholson Esq Capt Genll

           Sr Thomas Laurence Baront Secretary,

              Coll:     John Addison

     The honrble Coll: John Courts

              Thomas Brooke Esq                 Whitehall

    Ordr abt 20 Ordered that George Plater Esq (his Mats Re

    peices of Eight to be ceiver) pay unto the Man of Warrs Gunner, Twenty

         pieces of Eight out of the Quarter part of the 1s p

    Gunner hhd. in Satisfaction of ffitting the six hundred ifusees.

           Came Mr Willm Dent and made Oath to his Navll Whitehall

    Officers Accot commencing flebruary Anno 1695, until this

    day made up.

   

     Produced and Read the following Peticon, Vizt

   

     To his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esq Capt Genll and Com

    mander in Chief in and Over this his Mats Province of Mary

    land &ca

   

     The humble Peticon of William Dent one of the Attorneys

    of the Provll Court.

   

    Mr Dents Humbly Sheweth.

    Peticon abt

    his Assist- That in Obedience to yor Exncys Commands I have

    an in the from the 1 3th day of Novr 1694, Assisted Mr George

   

  Sollicitors place &ca Plater his Mts Attorney Genll of this Province as Whitehall

           Sollicitor Genll in all his Mats Pleas of the Crown

    both Criminall and Civill and have Refused to take any ffees

    of any prson where his Mats intrest has been Concern'd save

    only what I was Engaged in when yor Exncy laid yor Commands p. 436

    on me.
