      Oath to be taken by the Kings Attorney & Sollicitor Gen: Lib. H. D.

    or one of his Mats Councillors at Law, Vizt. P. 26

   

    Oath for his I do Swear that I will well and truly Serve his

    Mats Coun

    cillrs at Law Maty: in the Office or place of     in this

    &ca Province and do his Mate proffit in all things that

    belongeth to me to do by way of my Office as ffarr forth as

    I may or can I will not reveale or disclose his Mats Councill

    in any matter or cause whereby his Maty may suffer detrimt.

    I will prossecute all Offenders agt the Publick peace of this

    province as they shall Come to my knowledge according to

    the Laws of this province in the provll or County Court in this

    Province I shall riot advise or he of Councill with any prson or

    prsons agt his Maty: Except what I am already concern'd in I

    shall Endeavour truly to keep his mats Rights & all that be

    long to him I shall not consent to decrease lessen or conceal

    any of his Mats Rights or ifranchisses and whensoever I shall

    have knowledge that his Mats Rights have been concealed or

    withdrawne in Lands Rents ifranchisses or Suites or any other

    thing I shall doe to my true power to make them to bee

    Restored to his Maty again and if I may not doe it I shall

    Certifye the Same to his Exncy the Governr or Commandr in.

    Cheif or Some of his Mats honrble Councili thereof and further

    I shall Use my Self in the Office of for his Maty

    According to my best skill and knowledge so long as I shall

    Continue in the Same. So help me God.

   

                  I)ecember the 3d 1696.

    Mr Goides- The above Oath was then Administered unto Mr

    borough

    constituted Robert Goldesborough (Constituted one of his Mats

    one of his Councillors at Law) before his Exncy the Govr in

   

   Mats Councillors at Law   presence of the honrble Sr Thomas Laurence Barront

            Secretary & Mr Willm Dent one of his Mats Sollicitors

    at Law at the port of Annapolis in the provll Office.

   

   

   

      At a Councill met and held at the Port of Annapolis the Whitehall

    Eigth day of Decembr in the Eigth Year of the Reign of

    our Soveraign Lord King William the Third &ca Annoq

    Domini 1696.

                         Present

          His Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esq Capt Genll &Ca

            Sr Thomas Laurence Baront Secretary

          The honrble   Coll: John Addison

    Mr Tench Came the honrble Thomas Tench Esq (being a
