D. paymts well & truly to be made to our sd Soveraign Lord the King his Heirs & Successors We bind our Selves & Each of Us our & Every of our heirs Executrs & Admrs joyntly & severally firmly by these prsents; as Witness our hands & Seals this 26th day of September in the Eigth year of his sd Mats Reign &c: Annoq Domini 1696. The Condition of the above Obligation is such that Whereas the above bound George Muschamp Esqr is by his Mats Royall Commission, bearing Date the Eighth day of October Anno 1695, Constituted and appointed Receiver of his Mats Reve nue Raised or to be Raised for the Support of Governmt within the Precinct of the River of Potomock &cca as by Recourse to the sd Commission, being had, more fully and at large doth appear; Now if the sd George Muschamp shall and doe in all things well & ffaithfully discharge and perform that Trust as by the sd Commission is reposed in him, as also pro duce and Render before his Exncy in Councill a true & perfect Accot (twice every year) of all Sume & Sumes of money or otherwise as shall by him be Collected for the Vse of his Maty within the District or precinct aforesd from time to time and accordingly make Oath to the Same, during the continuance of his sd Commission, then this present Obligation to be Void and of none Effect, otherwise to Stand and Remain in full force power and Virtue.G. Lords Jus- Whereas we formerly received Information from the Governr and Company of Merchants of London apprehend- Trading to the East Indies, That one Henry Every, Commander of the Ship called the Phansie alias other Pyrats Charles, of fforty Six Guns, and one hundred and thirty men, had, undr English Colours, committed Severall Acts of Piracy upon the Seas of India or Persia, Where upon we issued a Proclamation, bearing date the 17th day of July last, for the taking and apprehending the sd Henry Every, and such other persons as were with him in the
