D. lock, trunck, Chest, &Cca and take into his possession all small pamphlets, writings and papers & close seal them up in a bagg, together with a Catalogue or List of all his other Books and so transmit the same unto his Exncy in Councill with all con venient speed for the perusall of this Board for which this shall be his Warrant, and that he do not divulge this untill Execu ted at his perili. w. September the 24th 1696. The Councill again Sate and were pTsent as before. Mr Mus- Came George Muschamp Esqr Collector of his champs col- . lection of the Mats Customes within the district of Potomock, who penyppoundmade Oath to his Collection of the penny p pound
within the sd District, since his Acting there. Produced and Read his Mats Royall Commission constituting the sd George Muschamp Esqr Receiver of the sd District. w. Produced also to the Board his instructions relating thereto both which were Ordered to be Entered in the Councill Book.
Mr Mus- The sd Mr Muschamp being Required to give
champ re quired to Bond pursuant to the tenor of his Commission, give Bond came and Offered Mr Philip Clarke and Capt Thomas
Waughop for his Bondsmen, who were accepted off; and it being considered, that the Revenue arising and becoming due within the precinct, being very Small, it will not be needful that the principall and security do Enter into a greater Bond than 450 ll Vizt 150 ll apeice for the sd Muschamps performance of the sd Trust, which was Ordered accordingly & drawn and signed to by the sd Muschamp Clarke and Waughop.
His Honr Coll: Nicho Greenberry humbly Repre Grant to go senting to the Board, that he having a long time to Engl. laboured under some indisposition of body, as also
had Severall weighty Affairs relating to himself for to Manage in Engi. did therefore move that he might be permitted to goe for England, this ffleet, in Ordr to better his health and looke w. after those Affairs that Require his attendance there, which was accordingly granted him.
