Lrcof the June: I have nothing now to Communicate from 22th of June hence but that I have not been able to obtain one 1696 to his Exncy man from any of the Neighbouring Colonies toward
the reinforcing of our ifrontiers, but with Some diffi culty's have reunited his Mats Companys. Three of them are Whitehall at Albany, which is all the force I can make for the Security of that place. My own is in this ffort, the burden of this province is very heavy it must Sink without assistance. I shall not be wanting I hope in any part of my Duty, but Endeavour to Overcome all difficulties as becomes a Loyall Subject and honest man. Sr Edmund Andros sent one thousand pounds money of this Countrey to the assistance what yor ExncY mention'd in Yors of May the 19th will be a seasonable Kindness in our great Necessity I am New York June 22th 1696. Proposed that the House send Some further Supply towards the assistance of his Mats Governmt of New York pursuant Whitehall to the Governr of New Yorks last Lre now lying before the House for their Consideration; His Exncy being willing to lend the Countrey money upon that Occasion if wanting.
