      Lib. H. D. You are pursuant to his Mats Royall Instructions to me bear

            ing Date at Whitehall the Eighth day of March 1693/4 Vizt

            And whereas by an Act past in the Assembly in Maryland the

            30th day of Aprill 1679 An Impost of two shillings p hhd is

            laid upon all Tobo exported out of our said Province, One

            Moiety of which Impost is by the sd Act appropriated for the

            Use and Support of the Governmt Our Will and Pleasure is

            that towards the maintenance of the Governmt of our

            Province, You take to Your own Use three ffourth parts of the sd

            Moiety of the Impost of two shillings p hhd: of Tobo appro

            priated as aforementioned by the sd Act, And you are to take

            Speciall Care that according to the intention of the sd Act, the

            Remaining fourth part of the Moiety of the sd Impost be duly

            applyed towards the maintaining a Constant Magazine with

            Arms and Amunition for the Defence of our sd Province.
