               Trevor Knight his Mats Attorney Genll in the Case of Sr

               Thomas Laurence Secretary of Maryland in the Words follow

               ing, Vizt May it please your Maty

                In humble Obedience &ca (Reciting this Report Verbatim)

               Which being taken into consideration, His Maty was pleased

               to Approve thereof & to Order in Councill that the said

               Report & every part thereof be duly complyed with as well

               by the sd Lord Baltemore as the Petitionr and to that End

               doth direct that this Ordr be Recorded in the Petitionrs said

               Office of Secretary of Maryland

                        May the 20th 1696.

              Coll Beal Came Coll Ninian Beale before his Excell the

                     Governr & the honoble Coll Charles Hutchins, who

              Indian signifying that he had brought an Indian belonging

                     to the Emperour of piscattoway, being surrender'd

         Whitehall     vp by the sd Emperor & his great Men, as a suspicious person

               to have been concern'd in the Murther lately Committed in those

               parts, and of his threatning to bring fforraign Indians to do

               mischief there; as by a paper vnder the sd Emperor & two other

               of the great Mens hands produced, did appear; Wherevpon

           p. 339 the sd Indian being sent for & examined, was Committed into

               the Custody of the Sherriff to be close confined.
