   of Virga & Governr & three pence to the Countrey, the duty of Lib. H. D.

   shipt here           d         . .  . . .   Whitehall

   should pay Two shillings p hh being only paid in Virginia; and

   the additional 6d &ca that they make Report theoreof accordingly.

  

  

            The Report thereon follows, Vizt

  

        To his Exncy the Governr in Councill &Ca

  

     In obedience to yor Excells Commands, We conceive that if Whitehall

   the Tobo pay but two shillings in Virginia & is Exported from

   Maryland, the Exporter ought to pay the other sixpence here,

   all which is humbly submitted to yor Exncies Judgmt by

                       Yor most obedient Servts

                   May the 11th 1696.

  

   Cornelius Cornelius Comegys of Caecill County being

       rance brought in custody of Coll Casparus Herman by

   & dismissali Vertue of the above Ordr was after some Examination,

   and vpon his petition here preferred that he was blamed

   wrongfully and that he left his Wife & Children without any

   assistance, and being a ifrontier plantation lyes exposed to the

   Enemy; therefore humbly prayed that he might be dismissed Whitehall

   & have leave to Return home to his ifamily; His Excellency

   therevpon (after some gentle Reproof & advice given him)

   was pleased to acquaint him that as to his trading with the

   Indians he should have all the Encouragemt imaginable, as

   well from the Gentlemen of the Councill as himself, provided

   he dealt fair & Committed no illegall Act, and that nothing

   would be Enjoyned him by this Board save his giving good

   security in the suflie of 100 lb Strl to his Maty for his future

   good behaviour, the which Mr Attorney Genl is Ordered to

   take accordingly & so was dismissed.

   makes Oath Court and made Oath to a List of ffines passed in Whitehall

   to ffines the said Court from the beginning of the Revolution
