414 Proceedings of the Council of Maryland, 1694 97.
Lib. H. D. Propry who is the derivative Lord to make a Grant of such Land, with as much Reason may an Act Enable the King who is the primative Lord to make the like Grant, And this Act has Enabled the King by his Govenor to make such Lease; therefore We hold it proper to be done as the Act directs, it being not disallowed by his Maty as We know off, all which We humbly submit to your Exceil & are Yor Excells most obedient Servants George Plater Willm Dent

May the 9th 1696.
Whitehall His Exncy having pervsed this day in Councill the within Re port was pleased to Ordr that the Lease therein mentioned be Examined by Mr Attorney & Sollicitor Genll whether the same be according to Law, and then his Exncy will sign the same. Signed p Ordr Hen: Denton C of Concil.

To his Exncy the Governr & honoble Councill of Maryland.
Whitehall In obedience to your Excells Commands We have pervsed the within mentioned Lease and do humbly conceive the same to be Agreeable to the Rules of the Law, all wch is humbly submitted to by Yor Excells most obedient Servants, Geo: Plater Willm Dent
And the sd Lease was accordingly signed by his Exncy in Ordr to be passed vnder the Broad Seal of the Province.
May the 11th 1696.
