    from his further attendance.

   

   

     At a Councill held at the Port of Annapolis the thirtieth day Whitehall

    of Aprill, in the Eigth year of the Reign of our Soveraign

    Lord King Wm the third &Ca Annoq Domini 1696. p.

    Appraisemt Produced at the Board the Return of the Ap

    ofCapt

    Meech's Es- pralsemt of Capt Meech s Estate in Somerset

    tate deliver- County pursuant to the Order of Councill; and Mr

   

    Commissary Commissary Genll being sent for, who Appearing Whitehall

    &Ca the said Return together with a Book of Accounts

    & severall other papers relating to that Estate were delivered

    by his Excellency to the Commissary for his case.

   

    Mr Layfieicl George Layfield Esqr his Mats Collector of Poco

    sent for Ap- moke District, being sent for Appeared.

   

   

   

     Then was Ordered to be Read William Cummin & Hugh. Whitehall

    Boides Depositions in relation to Samuell Murthiand (Master

    of the Ship Helena here lately Seized & Condemned) his

    transporting himself in a Sloop belonging to one Milbourn &

    cleared out of pocomoke District by the sd Esqr Layfleld.

     His Exncy asks how he came to suffer the said Murthiand to

    go out of the province in the sd Sloop; without Seizing of

    him, who says he went privately away: He is asked whether

    Milbourn had given Bond for the sd Sloop, who says that the

    Navall Officer had taken good Bond; Ordered that the said Whitehall

    Bond be speedily put in Suit & that the sd Depositions be

    delivered to Mr Attorney & Sollicitor Genll in Ordr thereto

    Accordingly; And that Certificate be given the sd Boide for

    Allowance &ca being sent for vpon his Mats Service.

     The Report of Ann Arrundell County Justices vpon an

    Ordr of Reference made to them from this Board touching a 312

    petition here by Marreen Duvall of the sd County; Ordered

    that the same be Entred in the Journall of this Book, the

    which follow in these Words, Vizt
