exceptions to the same as he shall think fit & convenient, and Lib. H. D. the severall Allegations, testimonies & proofs on both sides being strictly heard and Examined, and the matter duly maturely & deliberately weighed and considered, you are to pass & give your Judgmt doom & determination therein according to Law & Justice & the best of your skill & vnder standing, as also to taxe all Cost &Charges thereon accruing hereby Empowering you to Adjourn the said Court from day to day or from time to time vntill the sd matter by you the said Commissionrs shall be fully determined, And to the end a true & fair Record may be kept of your proceedings herein, We have thought fit to nominate & appoint, and We do hereby Nominate & appoint Henry Denton Gentl to be your Clerk or Register to Receive, take & Enter on his Journall the Sume & Substance of what shall be done & acted by you in the execution of the power & Authority hereby given & granted you, a fair Copy whereof attested vnder the hand & Seal of your said Cierk you are to transmitt Unto Vs in our high Court of Chancery with all convenient speed; Given vnder the Great Seal of our said Province the Ninth day of October in the Seaventh year of our Reign &ca Annoq Domini 1695 Witness our trusty & Well beioved ffrancis Nicholson Esqr Capt Genll & Governr in Chief in & over our said province & (Territory of Maryland.) ffr. Nicholson
On the back of the above Comission was thus written, Vizt
William the third by the Grace of God, of England, Scot land, ifrance & Ireland King Defender of the ffaith &Ca to Capt Richard Hill & Capt Thomas Tasker Gentl Greeting These are to Authorize you or either of you to Administer vnto Coll David Brown & Coll John Addison or either of them the Oaths appointed by Act of Parliamt to be taken instead of the Oaths of Allegiance & Supremacy as also an Oath of Commissionrs, for this purpose to be framed And the sd Oaths being as aforesd Administred & taken, you the said Coll David Brown & Coll John Addison or either of you are to Administer the sd aforementioned Oaths to the rest of the Commissionrs: within named and to the Clerk for which this p. 227 shall be your sufficient Warrant: Given vnder the Great Seal of our said Province this Ninth day of October in the Seaventh year of our Reign &Ca Annoq Domini 1695 Witness our trusty & well beloved ffrancis Nicholson Esq Capt Ge&' & Governr in Chief in & over our said Province & Territory of Maryland
