might be granted you for the Seizing all Wrecks thither Lib. H. D. coming & by Law condemnable &ca as also to preserve & take care of all Drift Whales Grampus's & other Royall fish unto his Maty belonging, being driven or cast up on the said Sea board Side, wth liberty to Trye for Oyle, what can be got from the blubber thereof And Forasmuch as their Mals did (by their Royall Cornission under the great Seal of the high Court of Admiralty of England bearing Date at London the ffifth day of March 1693/4 and in the Sixth year of their said Mats Reign) Give and Grant unto me the said Francis Nicholson Esqr full & ample Jurisdiction of Vice Admirall within all the Bayes, Rivers, Creeks, harbours, inlets, Islands & Territoryes whatsoever belonging to or Coming within any the precincts limits or Jurisdiction of the Province afd By Vertue whereof I (reposing Speciall Trust & confidence in your ifidelity care & circumspection in and about the Matters above petition'd for) Doe hereby constitute, Depute & appoint you the said Edward Green Chief & only Officer under me for the taking seizing cutting up & trying the blubber, and making such other vse & benefit as you shall think fit or possibly can for the most advantage of all such drift whales Grampus's or other Royall p. 214 ffish and of all or any other Drifts, Waftes, or Wrecks, what soever as shall at any time hereafter happen to come or be cast on shore on the Seaboard Side wth in the limits & Juris diction of this Province, Hereby fully Authorizing & Em powering you the said Edward Green to make depute & imploy under you so many Depties or other persons (for the better managemt of the said Affair) as you in your discretion shall think fit & requisit Provided you the said Edward Green shall at all time & times (as occasion shall Offer) render a true and perfect Accot (as well of all your proceedings herein & the pfits & Advantages which thereby henceforward shall accrue, as also of all other profits by you or of any other person in those parts by Means of any such Drifts or Wrecks aforementioned heretofore made & yett unaccounted for) vnto his Mats Court of Vice Admiralty on the Eastern Shore & pay or Cause to be paid unto his Mats Receiver Genll such part & share of all such Drifts & Wrecks as by the said Court shall be adjudged unto his Maty to appertain & belong and likewise pay & satisfye unto me the said Francis Nicholson Esqr what shall be found to be my Due as Vice Admirall, Willing & requiring all Magistrates & Officers Military and Civill with in this Province & others the Inhabitants thereof to suffer & permit you the said Edward Green & such person or persons to be by you Authorized and Empower'd as aforesd quietly and peaceably to Execute & performe the powers & Authorities hereby given and Granted you; And to Resist,
