   Navall Thompson and Casparus Herman of the Province

   Office Bond of Maryland Gentl. are holden & firmly bound Unto

   of pformance   ffrancis Nicholson Esqr their Mats Capt Genll and

          Chief Governr of this Province in the full & Just

   Suffle of one thousand Pounds of Lawfull Money of England

   to be paid to the said Francis Nicholson Esqr his Exrs Admrs

   or Assignes to the wch paymt to be well & truly made and

   done wee binde our selves and either of us by himselfe our &

   either of our heires Exrs & Admrs in the Whole and for the

   whole Joyntly and severally firmly by these presents Witness

   our hands & Seales this 22th day of May Annoq Domi: 1695.

     The Condition of the aboue Written Obligacon is such that

   Whereas his Exncy Francis Nicholson Esqr Afd hath Comis

   sionated & Appointed John Thompson to be Navall Officer

   of the Limits & Precincts of Caecill County in the abousaid

   Province by his Comission Dated the day and yeare abousaid

   Now if the said John Thompson shall well and truly pforme

   the said Office according to the severall Aets of trade &

   Navigacon in that Case made and provided and shall Observe

   the Directions in the Acts of Assembly of this Province

   Relating to the Duty of Navall Officers and from time to time

   Save Defend and keep harmless the said Francis Nicholson

   Esqr from all Damage loss and Charges that he the said

   Francis Nicholson Shall Sustain at any time by reason of the

   said John Thompsons Non pformance of the said Office so p. 187

   long as he shall continue in the same as in the severall Laws

   is Enacted & Ordained Then the aboue Obligacon to be void

   and of None effect otherwise to stand and remaine in full

   force and Vertue.
