     The Condicon of the aboue writen Obligacon is such That Lib. H. D

   Whereas his Exncy ffrancis Nicholson Esqr hath Comissionated

   and appointed the said Philip Clarke to be Navall Officer,

   from Point Lookout to Port Tobacco in the River of Potomock

   in the said Province of Maryland by his Comission bearing

   equall date with these presents; Now if the said Philip Clarke

   shall well and truly pform the said Office according to the

   severall Acts of Parliamt in that case made and provided, And

   shall Observe the directions Contained in the Acts of Assembly

   of this Province, Relating to the Duty of Navall Officers, &

   from time to time, Save defend and keep harmless the said

   ffrancis Nicholson Esqr from all dammage losse & Charges

   that he the said Francis Nicholson Esqr shall sustain at any

   time by Reason of the said Philip Clarkes non-performance

   of his said Office (so long as he shall enjoy the same) as in

   the said Severall Lawes is enacted & Ordained Then the

   aboue Obligation to be void & of none Effect, otherwise to

   bee & Remain in full force & Vertue

   Mr Briscoes Know all men by these presents that wee Thomas

   Office Bond Briscoe of the Province of Maryland Gentl and Sr

   of p form- Thomas Laurence Baront Are holden & firmly bound

   ance &Ca vnto his Exncy Francis Nicholson Esqr their Mats

  

   Capt Gen” & Chief Governr of this Province in the full &just

   sume of one thousand pounds of Lawfull Money of England

   to be paid to the said ffrancis Nicholson Esqr his Exrs Admrs

   or Assigns to the wch paymt well and truly to be made wee

   bind ourselves & either of Us by himselfe our & either of our

   heires Exrs & Admrs Joyntly & severally for the whole & in

   the whole firmly by these prsents Witness our hands & Seales

   November 6th 1694.

   Officer for the district of Petuxant River within the said

   Province by his Comission bearing Equall date with these

   presents Now if the said Thomas Brisco shall well and truly

   perform the said Office According to the several Acts of

   Parliamt in that Case made& Provided and shall Observe the

   directions contained in the Acts of Assembly of this Province
