Yorke and accordingly We do hereby Signify our Will and Pleasure unto you that a Quota or Part of our Millitia of our Province of Maryland not Exceeding one hundred & sixty men be the measure of the Assistance to be given by our said Province for the Defence & Security of our said Province of New Yorke, Which We do hereby Require & Command you p. 139 at all times upon the Applicacon of the Governr or Commander in Cheif of Our said Province of New York, to furnish & send to be under his Comand & direction for the Defence of our said Province We having also given Express directions to our said Govern” or Comander in Cheif of our said Province of New Yorke not to demand or Require at any time a greater part of the said Quota or other Assistance from our said Pro vince of Maryland than he shall in Proporcon demand or require of the respective Quota's of the rest of the Adjacent Colonies, And so not doubting of your ready and Chearfull Obedience to Our Royall Pleasure in a matter Wherein the Security and Preservation as well of Our good Subjects within our Province of Maryiand as of all our Subjects Inhab iting in those parts of America is so much concern'd, We bid you farewell.
