     And that Summons likewise issue directed to the Sherriffe Lib. H. D.

    of the said County to give Notice to the said Justices now

    constituted & appointed that they & every of them be and

    appear at the City of St Maries the first Tuesday in ffebruary

    next in Order to put in Execution the said Commission; there

    being a good Court house & convenient Accomodations for

    all Suitors & others in that place.

   

    St Maries Vpon Representation Ordered by advice that the

    County Justices severall late Commissionsrs appointed for St Maries

   

    Ordered to County who Neglected to come in November Court

    appear&c: to be sworn in obedience to the new Commission

   

    cause abt then Read and to Meet in January Court last

      (whereby the ifall of the said Court has been occa

          sioned) be & severally appear before his Exncy the Whitehall

    Governor & Councill at Ann Arrundell Town in Ann Arrun

    deli County the last day of ffebry next to shew some good

    cause for such their Neglect, And that they severally bring

    with them substantiall Evidence who may testifye what Reason

    they have to give or Excuse to make for the same And to the

    End due Notice hereof may be given them, the Sheriffe of the

    said County is hereby Enjoyned to serve this Order vpon each

    of them respectively with all possible speed

     It being Represented that abundance of hoggs Cattle &

    horses &c: do dayly dye in severall parts of this province in

    great Numbers by meanes of the excessive severity & sharp-

    ness of Weather which hath happened this Winter season Whitehall

    insomuch that it is to be feared the same may prove very

    obnoxious and prejudiciall to the healths of the inhabitants &

    others living within this Province if some speedy care is not

    taken to Burye them, it is therefore Ordered that proclamation

    be prepared pursuant thereto which accordingly was done,

    produced & Read & signed by his Exncy And afterwards p. 115

    passed the Broad Seale of the Province, the Tenor whereof

    follows in these Words. Vizt

    Maryland ss.

   

    Proclama- Whereas through the Excessive sharpness of this

    burying of Winter season there hath happened a great Mortality

    Hoggs &c: among swine, Cattle and horses &c: they dyeing

    dayly in great Numbers by means of the extremity of Weather

    & want of food, insomuch that it is to be feared the same
