same; His Exncy therevpon did Order that all the Attorneys in Lib. H. D. Towne who were not concerned against their Majts in the said Cause should be sent for to Advise with them about the same, And accordingly appeared Mr Kenelm Cheseldyn, Mr Philip Clarke, Mr Samuell Watkins, Mr Griffith Jones and Mr Robert Go!desborough, to whom his Exncy stated the Case, who were of Opinion the King ought not to be debarred an Appeal Afterwards was sent for and Read the information brought against the said ship, and therevpon his Exncy Ordered all the said Attorneys to go & Consult what was proper to be done on behalfe of the King therein, and further to move the Court in that Matter.
Governrs His Excellency is pleased to declare that if the promise in case of con- said ship be Condemned he will give his third part demnation towards the building of the ffree schole at Severne. of Murth lands ship
Mr Geo: Came Mr George Muschamp who (pursuant to the Muschamp admitted & directions of a Letter from the Honoble the Commis sworn Col- sionrs of the Custom house sent to his Exncy and pro duced at this Board 10th of November past) Entered trict &Ca into Bond with two sufficient Sureties in the Sume of ffive hundred pound sterl for his due Executing and Offici ating the Office of Collector for Potomock District in Mary land, and at the same time had Administered Unto him the Oaths appointed by Act of parliamt to be taken instead of the p. los Oaths of A!legiance & Supremacy, as also the Oath for the due observance of the Acts of Trade & Navigation as like wise subscribed to the Test
Attorney Genll Or- Ordered that George Plater Esqr their Mats der'd to take Receiver & Attorney Generall take care to inspect care abt Col- what Amerciamts & ffines are due to their Majts in lection of . . . ffines &ca the Provinciall Court of this Province from the time of the Revolution, as also all ffines in the severall County Courts, And that the same by him be duly Collected; And that all the Attorneys here in Councill this day be like wise consulted what is proper to be done therein, and what Method & course to take about the publick Revenue remain ing in Capt Coods hands; as likewise give their Advice about the Tryall of Mr Tench's ship called the Anne, for which there is now an Appeal, as also in the Tryall to be had about the ship Recovery Samuell Wilson Comandr And further that they give their Opinion in the Act for Religion, as to the disposall of the tobo p poll & building of Churches, And to advise in all other Matters & things where their Majts interest shall Require & call for the same.
